Hey all. I liked this week's haiku so I'm putting them up. (Haiku is a japanese word and as such has no plural so in this case, I hope you presumed that there are more than one, a conclusion you may have supported with the fact that I write a haiku every work day)

a promise was made
an oath that I am under
separate the sound

memories are strange
try not to forget yourself
remembering me

the sun is ready
and the trees prepare themselves
for the coming fall

brilliant morning star
millions of shining mirrors
sparkling as they fall
And finally, because monday was a holiday and you're probably expecting 5 haiku, here's a little extra poem, which is not a haiku, mind you, but at least it's a good bunch of words strung together. (or so I would like to believe)
closing eyes, bracing themselves for the fall
slowly falling, fading as the soft lines tremble
sinking into the door my mind immolates
a thirsty flame restless in deep sleep
